Super Duty parts are recovered from the trucks we dismantle, and roof curtain airbags are the ones owners ask about most, since a regular cab set will not reach across a crew cab. See what is listed for the F-250 right now, and if your cab and year are not listed, call 501-988-0611 and we will watch for one. The mail-in services run alongside the store: RCM reset and seat belt rebuild on the parts already in your truck.
Ford calls the Super Duty airbag computer the RCM, the Restraint Control Module. It reads the crash sensors, fires the airbags and seat belt pretensioners when an impact crosses the threshold, and writes a permanent deployment record into memory. That stored crash event is what holds your airbag module reset hostage and keeps the SRS warning lamp lit after a collision.
The data lives inside the RCM, so a generic OBD2 scanner cannot erase it. Clear an F-250 hard code with a code reader and it comes right back. We reset your original F-250 RCM in our shop, wipe the stored crash data and hard fault codes, and send it back reading factory-ready. It keeps its original Ford calibration and your VIN, so it plugs straight back into your truck and works on the first key cycle. For a Super Duty that has to stay on the job, resetting your own RCM beats waiting on a dealer to program a new one.
On the F-250 Super Duty the RCM sits low in the cab, in the center between the driver and passenger seats, on the floor under the center console. On trucks with the 40/20/40 bench and the center 20 percent jump seat, that seat usually has to come out to reach the module, and on some years it is tucked under the carpet. You pull the console or seat trim, then unbolt the RCM from its floor bracket.
The module has to sit flat and square on its bracket so it reads crash forces correctly, so it goes back exactly the way it came out. If the cab floor or tunnel took a hit in the collision, straighten the bracket before reinstalling. Disconnect the battery and let the system discharge before you touch the restraint wiring.

The RCM has carried the Super Duty restraint system since the F-250 split off into its own heavy-duty line. We reset the module and rebuild the belts on all of them, and the same job covers the F-350, F-450, and F-550 that share the platform.
Ford uses B-series restraint codes on the Super Duty. Deployment and stored crash-data codes clear with a reset. A few flag a circuit or part. Read the code with a scanner and look yours up first.
We reset your original F-250 RCM and clear the stored crash data so the SRS light goes out and stays out. We also rebuild the seat belts, single, dual, and triple-stage pretensioners on the Super Duty returned to factory operation, locked retractors freed, and worn webbing addressed. The belt side of the job is on our seat belt repair page.
We will always be straight with you: a module reset clears the stored crash codes, it does not repair physical damage. Your F-250 has to be mechanically fixed and the airbags and belt hardware properly replaced before the restored module goes back in. We handle the electronics. You make sure the truck is safe.
A dealer wants to sell you a new RCM and program it to the VIN. We restore the one already in your Super Duty. It is your original Ford part, your original calibration, back for a fraction of the cost of a new module.
Same RCM, same two repairs. Here are a few more Ford models we work on, or jump back to the Ford airbag service hub.
Mail us your original F-250 RCM or seat belt. We clear the crash data, rebuild the pretensioner, and ship your factory part back ready to install.
