Built by one family, two generations deep
Five Star Airbags opened its doors in 1997, founded by Rick and Sharron Glaze. From the start it was a hands-on operation: technicians in the shop, real parts coming in and out, and a phone that was answered. Chris Sullivan, our General Manager, has been here since the company was founded. When you have someone running day-to-day operations who helped build the place from year one, that knowledge does not walk out the door.
In 1998, Rick and Sharron's son, Bryan Glaze, joined the team to help his father grow the business. He learned the trade hands-on, taking belts and modules apart and putting them back together until he knew them cold. When Rick retired in 2006, he sold the company to Bryan, who still runs it today. The name on the door is the family's, and it stays in Jacksonville, Arkansas, where it started.
Bryan has worked hard to keep the company moving forward, and he runs it much the way his father did. Strict customer service standards. Employees treated with respect. Many of our people have been here more than 10 years, and the core team has stayed the same for years running. In a business where most competitors churn through staff, that stability is exactly why the work stays consistent.
For over 25 years we have sold and serviced quality new and recycled airbags, seat belts, and airbag control units for body shops and rebuilders in the lower 48 states. Our diagnostic team knows these systems cold, and we will read your codes and tell you which service the car actually needs so you order it right the first time.
