The Mercedes-Benz parts listed now are seat belts, mostly from 2015 through 2020 vehicles, each one recovered from a specific car. Webbing and buckle trim are matched to the interior in black, beige, or grey, so include the interior color with the year and the seating position when you search the store, and submit a part request for airbags or modules you do not see listed. The SRS control unit is a mail-in service that does not depend on stock: we clear the crash data from your original and return the unit the car was built with.
Mercedes-Benz names its airbag control unit just that, the airbag control unit, sometimes called the SRS control module. It is the brain of the restraint system, reading the impact sensors, deciding when to fire the airbags and the belt pretensioners, and writing a permanent record of any deployment into its memory. Across the C-Class, E-Class, and the GLC and GLE, Mercedes sources these modules from suppliers like Bosch, Continental, and TRW, so the exact board varies by chassis even when the job is the same.
Once the crash data is written, the module locks and the airbag light stays on. Even a minor collision that never deploys an airbag can lock the belts and leave the unit holding crash codes. A standard OBD scanner cannot erase that data, because it sits in the module's own memory. We take your original Mercedes airbag control unit in our shop, clear the stored crash data and hard codes, and send it back reading factory-ready. It keeps its original coding, so it plugs straight back in and works the moment you reinstall it, at a fraction of the dealer price for a new unit.

On most Mercedes cars and SUVs the airbag control unit sits under the center console between the front seats, bolted to the floor near the transmission tunnel. On some models it mounts under the dash or beneath a front seat instead. The unit is usually a metal enclosure with a yellow connector, which is the SRS marker. You pull the console trim, disconnect the battery first, then unbolt the module from its bracket.
The exact spot moves a little by model and chassis, so a W205 C-Class and a W213 E-Class will not be identical. If you cannot find yours, call us and we will walk you to it. Always disconnect the battery and let the system sit a few minutes before you touch anything in the SRS, since an airbag or pretensioner can still fire for a short time after the power comes off.
Mercedes uses its own SRS fault codes that read out on a Star or aftermarket scanner. Crash and deployment records clear with a reset. A few point at hardware. Read yours and look it up before you ship.
