B1935 means the restraints control module measured the passenger airbag inflator circuit and came back with a resistance under the expected range. Ford calls it passenger inflator circuit resistance low on squib, and it reports as lamp fault code 35.
The module watches the passenger squib circuit for two failure directions. Too much resistance says the path is breaking apart. Too little says something is bridging it. B1935 is the second case, and the module reacts by taking the passenger bag out of service until the reading is back where it belongs.
Where this code differs from its driver-side twin is location. The passenger squib circuit runs low across the dash and down toward the kick panel on a side of the car that gets wet. A plugged air conditioning evaporator drain, a leaking cowl seal or a windshield that was set without fresh urethane all put water into the passenger footwell, and a soaked connector will read low long before anybody notices damp carpet.
Circuit fault. This is a measurement, taken in real time, on wiring and an inflator. There is no accident record inside B1935. If the vehicle has been in a collision, any stored crash data lives in separate codes, and both problems have to be handled before the light stays off.
No. Clearing codes on a circuit fault buys you the length of one key cycle. Dry out or repair the connection, replace whatever is shorted, and confirm the resistance is in range. Check the passenger carpet with your hand before you take the dash apart. Damp padding under the kick panel points at the evaporator drain or the cowl, and fixing the leak without fixing the connector just buys time. If the floor is dry, follow the harness for pinch points and look at whether the airbag itself was ever replaced.
