0X930A0B is a BMW code for the airbag sensor mounted in the front left door, reported shorted to positive or open. Door mounted sensors give the module the earliest possible warning of a side impact.
Putting a sensor inside the door skin means it feels an intruding object before the force reaches the pillar or the floor. BMW uses that early signal to decide on side airbag and curtain deployment in the very short time a side crash allows. The sensor communicates with the ACSM over a wire pair, and the module stores 0X930A0B when it sees supply voltage on the wrong line or no response at all.
Door wiring has one weak point that no other harness shares: the flexible boot between the door and the body. Every open and close of that door bends the wires inside the boot. After enough cycles a conductor can crack, and in wet weather water travels down the boot and into the connector. Window regulator and speaker work inside the door adds another way for the harness to get damaged.
This entry is a live circuit report. The ACSM reads the door sensor circuit on a routine basis and stores what it finds, and the code disappears once the connection is sound. Crash data is a permanent record of a deployment instead of a reading, and it stays in module memory whether the door sensor is healthy or not.
No reset repairs a cracked wire in a door boot. Fix the harness or replace the sensor, then clear the code the normal way. Open and close the door slowly while watching the fault status, since a conductor breaking inside the boot usually shows itself that way before anything else does. Peel back the boot and inspect the wires for cracked insulation and green corrosion.
