What B1B75 means

This sensor is mounted out on the right side structure so it can measure an impact at the point where it happens. It runs a continuous self check. B1B75 is what the controller stores when the sensor comes back and says its own internals are not working correctly, at which point the controller stops relying on it for deployment decisions.

An internal fault report is more specific than most codes give you. The sensor is powered, it is talking, and it is telling the controller something is wrong inside it. That narrows the job considerably, though a bad mount or a damp connector can still push a sensor into faulting, so those get checked before the part gets condemned.

• Internal electronics failure in the right satellite acceleration sensor
