Hyundai sets B1326 when the driver front impact sensor harness is shorted to ground. Current meant for the sensor is escaping to body metal, so the SRSCM cannot trust anything that circuit reports.
The driver front impact sensor mounts up front, typically on the radiator support or inner fender where it can feel a collision early. Its harness runs back through the engine bay to the SRSCM. When insulation on that harness fails and a conductor touches chassis metal, the module reads a short to ground and stores B1326.
Notice that the code names the harness rather than the sensor. Hyundai separates wiring faults from sensor failures with different codes, which narrows the search considerably. The work is tracing a run of wire through the front of the car looking for the spot where it lost its insulation or got pinched.
B1326 is a live electrical measurement, so the module reports it only while the short exists. That is the opposite of stored crash data, which the SRSCM writes once during a deployment and holds permanently where no scan tool can reach it. Repair the short and this code stops setting.
Module reset service is not the answer to a shorted harness. It clears locked crash data and returns the SRSCM to a ready state, which is what a deployed vehicle needs. A wire touching ground stays touching ground after any reset, and the code comes right back. Repair the wiring first, then reset the module only if it is also holding deployment data.
Hyundai is the make that reports B1326 in our lookup, and it reads on Hyundai scan tools as a harness fault on the driver side front impact sensor circuit rather than a problem with the sensor itself.
Follow the sensor harness from the front of the car back toward the module with the connectors unplugged and check each conductor to ground with a meter, because that isolates the short faster than any visual sweep. Pay closest attention to spots where the harness passes a bracket, a seam, or a repaired section of the front end. Once the damaged section is found, repair it properly with the correct splice rather than tape. Related codes: B1102, B1327, B1065.
Trace the wiring and connectors first. If the module still holds the fault after the repair, mail it to us and we will clear it.
