A short to ground on the right C-pillar impact acceleration sensor circuit sets B2765-11. The ORC sees the circuit pulled down where it should be sitting at a controlled level, and it disables side impact protection until the short clears.
The right C-pillar sensor covers the rear passenger zone for side impact detection. Its circuit runs from the ORC back through the cab to a connector at the pillar. When a wire in that run touches chassis metal, or a pin bridges to the connector shell, the module reads ground where it expects signal and stores the fault with a -11 suffix.
Short to ground faults are physical damage in nearly every case. Rear cab wiring gets disturbed by seat removals, speaker installs, and water that finds its way past rear glass seals or a plugged drain. The sensor tends to be innocent until the harness has been ruled out, which is the reverse of how many people approach it.
This code tracks a live electrical condition instead of a crash record. The module measures the circuit continuously, so B2765-11 disappears on its own the moment the short is gone and the system completes its startup test. Crash records work differently. They are written once during a deployment and stay in module memory until a reset removes them.
Erasing the code does not move the wire off ground. The ORC retests within seconds of key on, so the fault returns immediately after any reset attempt. The wiring repair is the actual job here. Where a rollover or side impact also deployed airbags and left a record in the module, that record is the part our mail-in service clears once the truck is repaired.

Open up the right rear trim and inspect the harness run to the pillar before buying a sensor, since a pinched or rubbed wire is the usual finding. Check the connector for moisture and a backed out pin at the same time. Disconnect the sensor and see whether the short remains on the harness side, which separates wiring from part cleanly.
